Calvin Klein Contradiction perfume review

For the smart sophisticated woman Calvin Klein Contradiction is the perfect scent. The fragrance has top notes of pepper flower, syringa, orchid and eucalyptus which is supported by central notes of jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Peony and Rose. The main notes are supported by a foundation of sandalwood, satinwood, amboti wood and tonka bean. I tend to go for perfumes with sweeter undertones so I was unsure if I’d be a fan, however I like to give everything a go. I adore Calvin Klein In2U Her so I was hoping I would love Calvin Klein Contradiction just as much.

Housed in a modern looking glass and silver bottle the perfume looks quite unusual and different to my usual fragrances. When first sprayed the scent has incredibly strong floral notes, this intensity lasts for around a hour or so. After a little while the intensity of the perfume does start to fade but you can definitely smell it all throughout the day. I would say it’s one of those perfumes you notice when you walk past someone.

The perfume is marketed as a floral oriental perfume but it definitely seems a lot more floral then oriental. The scent is quite distinctive but not overwhelming and lasts for hours. As the perfume has such a unique scent, it would probably be best worn for a exciting event or formal do.
