Get ready with me using Laura Kay makeup

I love makeup and getting to try new and well established brands. One such brand, Laura Kay, recently came to my attention. Laura Kay started out in 2012 bringing the world of permanent makeup and aesthetics together.
Since then her brand has grown and grown and in 2015 she opened her own training programme. Since the Laura Kay brand became well established, she has started her own cosmetics line. Having been approached to try some of the line, I couldn’t wait to put them to the test.
What makeup is available in Laura Kay’s cosmetic line?
Laura’s Lashes mascara
Laura’s Lashes (£22.00) mascara promises to give you the most beautiful lashes you’ve ever seen. It claims to lift and grab every lash for a wide eyed look. The mascara promises not to smudge either.

Laura Kay London Illuminate highlighter
Available in four shades (Highlight, Nude, Antique and Bronze), these highlighters promise a beautiful sun kissed glow.
I tried the shade Highlight which is a light silver colour. I typically use gold and pink highlights so I wasn’t sure what sort of effect I’d get. I was pleasantly surprised, Highlight leaves a really delicate shimmer that really accentuates my cheekbones. It looks really natural and I love the delicate glow it gives me. Each highlighter costs £29.00.

Laura Kay lipgloss
Keep your lips hydrated with these glossy hydrating lipglosses (£21.00). The lipglosses are currently available in six uplifting shades:
- Peachy
- Ribbon
- Love
- Cinnamon
- Strawberry
- Raspberry
I tried the Ribbon shade which is a baby pink gloss. It has a really pleasant minty scent and feels comfortable to wear. It’s super glossy but not at all sticky which is a bonus. Unfortunately it doesn’t last very long and after a few hours most of the gloss has disappeared.

Laura Kay Ultimate Brow Tool
No makeup kit is complete without a good brow tool. The Laura Kay Brow Tool (£28.00) contains three products in one to help you get perfect brows. The tool contains a flat tip to help you create definition, a soft powder brush for blending and a coloured brow gloss to help keep brows in place for hours.
To see the potential of the tool I tried the spoolie brow gloss on my left brow, and the flat tip on the right. The brow gloss is a lot lighter and produces a more natural look, whilst the flat tip helps create a fuller brow and is perfect for shaping my brows.
The Laura Kay makeup range is pretty affordable, and the effects of the Brow Tool and the highlighter are pretty long lasting. The lip gloss doesn’t last as long but I’ve yet to find many lip products that do!
Here I put the makeup to the test in my get ready with me video.

Ive never heard of this brand of makeup before but it sounds wonderful and not too pricey.
How exciting. I would love to try the illuminator and the brow tool. Off on holiday soon and I always love a good glow when I get photos taken, haha. I still want to give the lip gloss a go. It’s true, there are not many lip glosses out there that last long anyway and I do love how there are 6 colours to choose from
I havnt worn makeup in years but keen to learn how to apply it to mature skin
