Write a list, set a budget and stick to it.
My festive money saving tip is to buy all year long, keeping an eye out for sales or discounts and bargains, but not to buy for the sake of buying. A bargain is only a bargain if you need it.
I look on deal sites for discount codes, every penny saved can add up
We have a supermarket savings card. Whenever the weekly shop is under budget we put the difference on the card.
I do lots of competitions all year to win presents for Christmas x
I try to buy an amazon gift card every month and come christmas I have that money to spend on black friday deals
A good idea to buy some treats in the sales
I pick up wrapping paper, gift bags, cards and similar in clearance just after Christmas – usually there are substantial reductions, and if I come across the perfect present for someone in the coming year I can get it wrapped and tagged there and then, saving time and stress nearer Christmas.
I start buying straight after xmas for the following year! Grabbing bargains in the sales and hiding them away … Reduced Price Wrapping paper, cards, Decorations, etc … Clearance Kids clothes and shoes are another fave of mine to buy and pop away … I buy a size or 2 bigger … you know the kids are going to grow!
Starting early is a great tip
I always buy my Christmas wrapping paper and cards when they are on offer after Christmas. I also make labels out of old Christmas cards. I start my Christmas shopping in January when I see things and I enter competitions and win presents for my family x
Start early – don’t be hoping for last minute bargains, pick stuff up when you see it on offer earlier in the year :o)
Some great ideas there
I save all my points on loyalty cards and money back on shopping apps all year – they come in really handy for Christmas
I love saving all my points up for extra treats
My money saving tip is to recycle gifts you don’t want from the previous year. Just make sure you regift in a different circle for example gift a present from a family member to a work colleague that way no-one gets offended.
God forbid you give it back to the person who gave it to you! ?
Set a maximum amount for each person and try to get best value for this. Also buy cards, wrapping paper in January sales.
Great tip
For me its try buy your bits earlier few at a time that way its less expense at Christmas and also try hold out on some things as January sale soon be on 🙂
Start buying next years gifts in the boxing day sales!
Always a good idea ?
Spread the shopping over a year and enter any competitions that you think family members would like.
My money saving tip is collecting freebies through the year and gifting them at Christmas along with some bargain buys.
Saving up small amounts through the year
Good luck!
Spread the shopping over the year and spend during the sales 🙂
I’m on a tight budget so have to spread the cost over the year. I start buying Christmas gifts in the sales, and I’ve usually finished most of the shopping by November. I also enter competitions and put the prizes aside to gift to my family. I was really chuffed to win Elton John’s biography for my son, who is a musician. I entered loads of competitions specifically to win that book, so I’m really hoping he enjoys it.
