E.l.f Jelly Pop Flush Blush in Berry Pop review
Try out the new gel blusher trend with E.l.f Jelly Pop Flush blushers
If there’s one makeup product that can dramatically change your look it’s got to be blusher. In a instant you can go from pale to glowy as the blusher instantly warms up your face. Until recently the type of blushers available were in either cream or powder format- now with the rise of the gel makeup trend the humble blusher has been refreshed. The pigment in gel blushers are quite strong so you can add high impact colour with just a small amount of product. Keen to hop onto the gel blusher train I picked up e.l.f Jelly Pop Flush Blush.
E.l.f Jelly Pop Flush Blush is available in two shades; Berry Pop and Peach Pop. I liked the look of the berry shade so I chose Berry Pop to review. The Blush has quite a wobbly fluid consistency, very much like a plate of jelly. The formula is very hydrating and the pigment is incredibly rich. As the Blush is so wet it’s very easy to apply too much product and end up looking like you’re doing auditions for Coco the clown. E.l.f. do recommend you use a stippling brush to apply the blush but when I tried that the intensity of the colour was too intense. I would recommend applying with your fingers as that way you can control how much you’re applying. The warmth of your fingers can also help blend the blush into your skin. In the before and after picture you can see the product I applied with my fingers on the left and the brush on the right. If you apply too much of E.l.f Jelly Pop Flush Blush it looks very unnatural, but a small amount gives a lovely warm rosy glow.
E.l.f Jelly Pop Flush Blush is good if you want a natural look with a warm glow. You can’t really sculpt the gel and it has pretty much the same effect in that respect as a cream blusher. If you want more control over your blush you will probably find powder is better. The gel blush is perfect to use on those lazy days when you’re popping out with friends to do some shopping or you’re heading to work.
