Unboxing my first Sephora beauty box
I’ve tried many beauty boxes over the years from Glossybox to Let’s Face It beauty box and I’ve always ended up cancelling in the end. The reason why? Beauty box brands often have preselected samples that they send out to each subscriber every month and the predictability gets boring quick. If you’re a beauty box subscriber you know what I mean. How many times have you received the same skincare sample or ‘rolls eyes’ that Eyeko mascara. That’s why I love Sephora Beauty box UK (formerly Feel Unique). Unlike your traditional beauty box, with Sephora Beauty Box UK you get to choose the beauty and skincare samples that go in your box. That means the only products that will go in your beauty box are ones that you really want to try.
Really? Tell me more about the Sephora Beauty Box
Like most beauty boxes, with the Sephora Beauty Box UK you can subscribe to a rolling one month subscription, three months, six months or a year. Prices vary depending on which option you pick, the annual option is always cheaper. Each month you will be sent a link to pick five samples from their beauty collection. This can be makeup, hair products or skincare. Make sure you remember to select your items or you will be sent a predestined choice and we all know you don’t want that!
So want to know what sort of things you’ll get in the box? Here’s what was in my October Sephora Beauty Box. Watch the video unboxing or just have a read as to what’s inside below.
Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen 6.2ml
Collagen is vital to keeping us youthful, and our natural supplies start to deplete once we hit 30. Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen has been created with a vegan formula that binds together corn, soy and wheat protein fibres to create a solution that mimics natural collagen and provides a similar effect. It also contains micro-algae oil that’s rich in omega 3, 6 and 9 and is a natural source of vitamin E.
The product normally retails for £90.00 for 30ml so the 6.2ml is a generous size for a tester. Inside the solution is a serum with a unique gold tint. The serum absorbs fairly quickly into my skin and isn’t greasy. I haven’t noticed any results yet but I have only been using it for around a week.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow pencil 0.11g
If you ever struggle with applying brow pencil, Benefit Goof Proof Brow pencil is for you. The pencil comes with a non-sharpen ‘goof proof’ tip, and a soft colour formula that simply glides on. It also contains a built in blending spoolie brush so you can finish your look. The pencil is waterproof and is designed to last for 12 hours. Available in 11 shades the colour range for this brow pencil is a lot more varied then a lot of brow pencils that are currently available.
Clinique All About Eyes cream 5ml
Dark circles, fine lines and puffiness around the eyes can be frustrating and notoriously hard to get rid of. There are many lotions and potions out there that claim to help; as well as homemade remedies like the cold spoon in the fridge trick. Clinique All About Eyes cream is a multi function product that claims to tackle those pesky dark circles, fine lines and puffiness whilst making the fragile eye area stronger. Whilst it’s a pretty bold claim, it had pretty good reviews so I really wanted to give it a try.
The formula has a very silky creamy gel consistency that takes a little while to absorb. It leaves the delicate eye area feeling well moisturised and is not irritable on the skin. I haven’t noticed much of a improvement in the appearance of my dark circles or fine lines but this may improve over time. The little pot is a generous size and will last a fair while so I can see if it’s worth buying again.
Lancôme Hypnose mascara in Noir Hypnotic 2ml
Lancôme Hypnose mascara has been created with a volumising formula for longer, fuller looking lashes. The Softsculpt formula contains emollient waxes and an exclusive polymer system to define lashes and add maximum impact. Simply use the unique Powerfull brush to help separate and define your lashes whilst coating every lash without clumping. I reviewed this little beauty a few years ago, check out why I loved it so much!
You can get the full size for £28.50
Clinique High Impact mascara in black 3.5ml
I always say you can never have enough mascaras, and having been impressed with their eyeliner I wanted to see how the High Impact mascara performs. The mascara claims to add volume, definition and length to your lashes whilst keeping them clump free.
Clinique High Impact mascara definitely adds volume to my lashes, but it’s certainly not clump free. On the plus side it doesn’t smudge or give me panda eyes and it lasts for hours without losing its volume. However there are quite a few cheaper mascaras that perform a lot better so it’s worth saving your beauty bucks where you can.
All the samples in the box are a decent size and I will get at least a couple of months use out of them, maybe more. Then if I love the products I can decide if I want to buy the full size version. Sephora beauty box UK is a great way of trying products you want to try without the expense of buying something you might not like after a couple of uses. I highly recommend this beauty box.
What do you think of the box and the items I ordered in the Sephora beauty box UK? Let me know in the comments!
