Does Rimmel Thrill Seeker mascara deliver non stop volume?

It’s been a while since Rimmel have released any new mascaras. Their latest release Rimmel Thrill Seeker mascara breaks away from their classic Rimmel Scandaleyes range. Rimmel Thrill Seeker mascara comes packaged in a box which is quite unlike Rimmel and promises gravity defying length and definition. It has been formulated with panthenol which leaves lashes feeling super soft and they claim it can be layered as many times as you like without clumping. The new mascara sounds like a dream so of course I couldn’t wait to test it out.

So what is Rimmel Thrill Seeker mascara really like?

The mascara is available in two shades Extreme Black and Black Brown. Ever the dramatic I chose Extreme Black. The mascara has a large bushy brush with bristles that elongate out at the end and get smaller towards the middle. The brush fits my eye well and easily grabs both the large and tiny lashes. The formula of Rimmel Thrill Seeker mascara is just right and isn’t too wet or too dry. The brush is really comfortable and doesn’t feel at all scratchy. After trying the MacStack mascara which was really scratchy, I’m really pleased this mascara doesn’t have the same effect. I went for around five layers to see if it would clump at all, and I’m pleased to say I didn’t notice much of any clumping. It’s also really comfortable to wear. I was quite impressed with the result, although I did feel my lashes didn’t really seem overly lifted.

Final thoughts on Rimmel Thrill Seeker mascara

Over the course of the day the mascara didn’t smudge or flake which was great. However whilst the initial results seemed quite promising, over the course of the day my lashes really dropped and you could hardly see the mascara at all. I just don’t feel it has the same holding power as other mascaras (especially previous Rimmel mascaras) have had. Overall it’s a okay mascara as you can layer it without clumping and it’s kind to your lashes, however don’t expect the effects to last.

• The mascara doesn’t have much staying power and my lashes quickly dropped.
• Despite the amount of layers you can apply I don’t feel it gives the volume it claims to do.
