If you’re just not that into him – because he’s tight – a mummy’s boy – or you just didn’t click – don’t keep dating him just because you don’t want to be alone. It’s better to wait and try find someone that you really want to be with. Remember it’s Mr right not Mr Right Now, you’ll be happy knowing you’re not settling for second best.

One of the easiest ways to be happy is not working yourself to extremes

Whilst it’s fine to put in a bit of extra work to achieve that much wanted promotion, you really shouldn’t work yourself into the ground. If you’ve made plans with your friends, family or a date don’t cancel just because you feel you need to impress at work. Your social life is just as vital as your career if not more important to keep your physical and mental health stress free and happy.

I can’t save

Can you really not save or would you rather just spend the money on something else? If you really want that designer bag, dress or even a deposit for a flat you will need to make sacrifices. Instead of buying that daily coffee or lunch put the money aside into your savings pot. If you find it hard moving money yourself, why not give the apps Chip or Plum a try. Once you’ve got a few savings pots building up you’ll be happy knowing you’ve got something to fall back on if anything breaks or to treat yourself.

Tackle the things you hate

If there’s something in life you really don’t like it’s up to you to work out what it is and change it. Whether you hate your job, your flat sucks or you wish you were thinner the only person that can make a difference is you. Believe me you’ll feel happier for it.

Don’t be a yes person

Whilst it’s great to be social and enjoy time with friends and family, sometimes it’s good just to have me time. If you’d rather watch the latest episode of Peaky Blinders then spend all night on the lash then don’t be afraid to say no. You’re just as important as the other people in your life.
