Top 5 blogging apps to use on your daily commute
Wish you could blog on your daily commute? It’s easier than ever with these 5 top blogging apps to use on the go
In today’s modern world it’s easier than ever to work on your blog at the touch of the button. Whether you’re commuting or you’re stuck at work your mobile gives you access to a wide range of apps which will help you blog on the go. Here’s 5 great blogging apps that I use that do everything from showing my analytics to sharing blog posts. There’s no need to let your daily commute stop you working on your blog anymore, here’s five of my favourite blogging apps.
Hyperlapse
IF you’ve ever wanted to create a time lapse video then Hyperlapse is the perfect tool. Gone are the days when you had to stand still for hours to create the perfect time lapse, Hyperlapse can do it for you in seconds. Perfect if you want to show a makeup tutorial quickly. The app is no longer available, but you can now create Hyperlapse videos on your phone.
Google Analytics
I only used to access Google Analytics on my PC but I recently downloaded the app and got a little obsessed. You get up to date daily access to your statistics and have the ability to change the segments you’re viewing to daily, weekly, monthly or custom dates.
The app breaks down your views by acquisition allowing you to check direct traffic, organic search, referral, direct and social. You’ll also find a insight into your audience viewing behaviour under behaviour, see what posts are popular and what topics you can recreate in the future. You can set goals for your blog on the app and use it to monitor ecommerce. A handy little tool that will help you keep tracks on your blog even when you’re not at home. Available for free on the App or Play store
Buffer
If you want to promote your blog but you really don’t have time to schedule posts daily Buffer is a fabulous app to have. You can sign up for a free account which will give you 10 free scheduling options or you can sign up for a paid account.
Under the Essentials plan ( from $6 a month for each channel) you can schedule unlimited posts and you have access to a whole range of other fab features. You can schedule your posts all at once when you have time and reap the benefits as the traffic flows in whilst you’re busy doing other things.
Available for free on the App or Play store.
Crowdfire
If you’re one who likes to monitor your social media followers – especially Twitter – Crowdfire is one of those blogging apps you need to download. The app allows you to see everyone who’s unfollowed you recently in addition to new followers to your account. You’ll find people you’re following who don’t follow you, and people who have followed you but you haven’t followed them.
You can also schedule posts and have a sneaky check on who your competitors follow (simply put their username in a search box). It’s also a fabulous way of removing inactive accounts which you can narrow down to 1, 3 or 6 months. Available for free on the App or Play store but I think you have to pay around £3 (one off fee) for the features.
Disqus
If you run a blog you’ve probably installed Disqus, a handy little widget that lets people comment in a custom comments box. The Disqus app is a great tool that helps you respond to people who’ve replied to comments you’ve posted on blogs. You can also follow people and their activity will appear in your feed. Available for free on the App or Play store.
