Get wow lashes with Revolution 5D Lash POW mascara

I’m always excited to discover a new beauty product that people are raving about and put it to the test. My latest discovery is Revolution 5D Lash POW mascara. Their latest release promises explosive length and a dramatic multiplied false lash effect. I’ve tried a few of Revolution’s mascaras in the past and I haven’t been overly impressed, so I was hoping Revolution 5D Lash POW mascara would be different. What is Revolution 5D Lash POW mascara like?

The mascara comes in a unique no screw tube- you simply press down on the lid and it slides open. The mascara has a thick bushy fibre brush with lashes that are designed to fit the contour of your eye. The formula isn’t too wet or too dry so it’s great for getting a consistent layer of mascara. The brush is comfortable on my eyes and does not feel scratchy.

I applied two coats which layer together really well. My lashes were left looking well defined, volumised and lifted. Whilst the mascara generally doesn’t clump, if you leave too much product on your brush it will leave little trails that hang off the end off your lashes. If you don’t wipe these off they will smudge around your eyes. I often find eyeliner ruins the effect of my mascara, but it certainly didn’t impact the false lash effect of Revolution 5D Lash POW mascara.

The mascara wears well and lasts well into the night. I did find a small amount of mascara fell around my eyes over the course of the day. Certainly not enough to give me panda eyes or to ruin the effect, but you can notice it if you look really close. However I wouldn’t say this puts me off wearing the mascara.

My overall thoughts

I have to say this is a mascara that genuinely lives up to the hype. At £6.99 (normally £8.99) it’s a great budget friendly price and it makes my eyes look as good as they can without falsies. This is one mascara you’ll want in your makeup collection. It’s not perfect and has a few flaws but I think you could probably live with them with the results you’ll get with this mascara.
