Reverse bucket list: what I’ve achieved in 32 years
Celebrate everything you’ve achieved over the years by writing a reverse bucket list
We’ve all heard of writing a bucket list; where we write down what we want to achieve before we die. However not many of us have written a reverse bucket list; where you celebrate everything you have already achieved in your life. It’s a way of realising your accomplishments and making you feel good about how far you’ve come over time. Here’s what’s on my reverse bucket list.
Getting a degree
Eleven years ago I graduated university. I studied Film Radio and Television studies and made a few radio and films during my time at university. It gave me a fair bit of life experience and I learned a lot about analysing films. It’s always handy to have a degree to talk about when applying for jobs as well.
Passing my driving test
As I still live at home my car gives me a real sense of independence. I passed my driving test when I was 21 and getting there took a lot of blood, sweet and tears. It took 1 year 4 months, 4 driving instructors and 2 tests but the delight I felt when I passed was incredible. I haven’t looked back since. I’d love to know how long you all took to learn to drive – let me know your stories in the comments down below.
Going to Efteling
For a few years I’d been dying to go to Efteling. It sounded like Holland’s version of Disneyland and the website looked amazing. I arranged our visit from scratch – the tickets, hotel, public transport and flights and we got there and back with no hitches. I was proud I arranged everything separately as I normally just book package deals from Tourist agents. Efteling is a fantastic experience and has lots of things to do for both kids and adults. Just don’t expect as many thrill rides as you’d get at Europa park.
Starting Glitz and Glamour Makeup and keeping it going for 10 years
In 2009 I started Glitz and Glamour Makeup. It started off as kathcakeblogging and documented what I’d been up to and experiences I had. It soon morphed into the blog you all know and love today. I’m so proud that I’ve kept at it, riding the highs and lows and increasing my traffic levels every day. I wouldn’t have got there without you coming back and helping me to grow. If you love the site don’t forget to give it a share.
Publishing my second book
I wrote Love Comes Knocking a few years ago which is a romantic comedy based on a unlucky in love friend I used to know. My latest book focuses on my new love – helping you all make extra money using your mobile. We are all pretty much glued to our phones these days so I saw there was a real market there. I’m sure you’d all love to know how to make a bit of extra money when you have a spare minute. It’s super easy to self publish, Amazon Kindle lets you do it for free, and gives you some marketing tools as well to help increase sales. If you happen to buy the book please leave a review or let me know what you thought down below.
