What I’m most looking forward to about Spring

It’s almost time say au revoir to Winter and welcome the bright colourful days of Spring. Discover my favourite things about Spring

Out of all the seasons Spring is definitely one I look forward to the most. With the cold weather on the way out, lots of bank holidays to look forward to and the lighter days it’s a season full of prospect. Discover what I’m most looking forward to about Spring.

Wearing less layers

I’m pretty much always seen in a big coat – unless it’s warm outside so I’m really looking forward to the warmer weather. Whilst Spring is not as warm as summer I can certainly shed a layer or two!

Lighter evenings

By Easter it gets dark around after 7. I will finally be able to enjoy a bit of daylight after a hard days graft at work!

Bank holidays

It seems like forever since the last bank holiday on New Years Day and Easter can’t come soon enough. With 4 bank holidays in just 2 months I can’t wait to enjoy those extra long weekends.

Life is blooming

Spring is the time of year when everything seems to come to life. Flowers start blooming, baby lambs and chicks are born; and birds start coming home. If this isn’t a time to see the wonder in life I don’t know what is.

Being able to keep the windows open

In the last few days when it’s been quite warm I’ve had the window open. It makes my room smell so fresh and it’s lovely having a breeze drift in.

The ice cream van comes back

Admittedly I rarely buy anything from the ice cream van but I have fond memories of buying 99s sprinkled with nuts and lemon sherbet. This year I may be tempted to treat myself.
