Prolific is the high paying survey site you need to join
Ever since the dawn of the internet surveys have been seen as a way to make money. Whilst there are many survey companies around they are often given a bad name by poor paying companies. Whilst I’d certainly agree that there are some surveys that are really not worth your time there is one survey company that you need to be a member of. Prolific is a research based survey site that rewards its members richly.
Unlike most traditional survey companies the research the surveys generate is not for a brand or service. The surveys on Prolific are always linked to research done for various university projects. They are always overseen by a professor or lead researcher so there’s always someone you can contact if you have any issues.
The contents vary and it is pretty much guaranteed that you will never get screened out if you’re picked for the survey (a major bug bear for many). I’ve done surveys on everything from decision making to giving my perception on different scenarios.
When you sign up to the site it it essential that you fill out the pre screener questions. If you don’t you will never get a single survey as this is what I experienced when I first signed up. Pretty much as soon as I completed my profile I started to get surveys coming through. The surveys will tell you what you’ll get paid and the equivalent hourly rate.
Payment often varies from £2.10 for 15 minutes to £6.00 for a hour but it really does depend on the researcher as to how generous they are. Generally you will not get emailed about new surveys (unless no one wants to do them) and they fill up very quickly so you need to get in there quick. I’ve recently downloaded Prolific Assistant a extension on chrome which alerts me to new surveys.
