So what jewellery will I discover in Imperial Candles?

Each candle or bath bomb has a piece of jewellery in – this could be a ring, necklace, bracelet or earrings. Each product specifies what sort of jewellery items you can pick, although you won’t know exactly what it is. Some items are more limited then others and will only let you choose between a ring and necklace for example.

With the candles you can choose the size for your ring, but the sizes are limited and you can only choose from a small band of these. You can’t choose a ring size at all with the bath bombs so it’s probably better to choose a necklace or earrings if you want the bath bombs. Just bear that in mind if you choose a item with a ring in.

Want to know what the I Love You candle is like?

Of course you do! It took me a while to choose the candle I wanted as I was trying to find a jewellery piece that I liked the look of. Each product shows a small image of the sort of jewellery you’ll receive. I eventually picked I Love You as it looked like it smelt nice and it appeared to have a nice selection of jewellery inside. I also picked the Popping Candy bath bomb as I’m pretty impatient and would get to see what jewellery I got quicker then I would with the candle.

So what was the candle really like?

The candle smelt amazing and filled the room with a fruity scent as soon as I lifted the lid. It had notes of vanilla, black cherry, strawberry, vanilla and orange. The candle has a double wick and is designed to burn for around 12 hours. I started burning this candle on Sunday and by early Saturday I still hadn’t managed to get my gem out- you certainly get value for money with this candle.

The smell of the candle when it’s burning is lovely and it really does infuse the whole house with its scent. I did find it a little tricky to relight the candle after the first night and had to use several matches as the wicks were so burnt, however I got there in the end. In total I burnt the candle for over 37 hours till I managed to get the gem out, and that’s only because I picked it out whilst the wax was still liquid. As always I got a little video to capture what the candle is like and the gem that was inside.

How about the bath bomb?

So the bath bomb is pretty similar looking to one you’d get from Lush. I chose Popping Candy as I love bath bombs that make a real impact, and Popping Candy is described as a bath bomb that gives off a real colour explosion when it fizzes away. The bath bombs aren’t cheap (Popping Candy cost £17.99) but then you do get a nice bit of jewellery that you wouldn’t get with a typical bath bomb.

The bath bomb smells nice with hints of pink cotton Candy, peach and caramelised vanilla. Whilst Popping Candy sounds like it would have a really strong sweet scent, I thought the smell was a lot more low key. When I popped it in the bath it immediately exploded into a rainbow of colours. After my bath my skin felt quite soft which was nice. You can see exactly what the bath bomb looked like and the gem I got in my reveal all video below!

So is it worth buying from Imperial Candles and should I opt for a candle or a bath bomb?

Personally I think both make fantastic gifts, they’re pretty, smell lovely and have a lovely precious piece of jewellery at the end of it. However if you’re looking for value for money I’d probably recommend the candle as they burn for hours and smells amazing, so they’re definitely worth the investment. The price of the candles ranges from £29.99 to £35.99.
