Get whiter teeth in 14 days with Ultradex Whitening toothpaste
UltraDEX low abrasion whitening toothpaste promises whiter teeth in just 14 days. I put it to the test

The Hype
A dazzling white smile is something a lot of people want for Christmas, especially with all the glitzy parties coming up this season. Teeth are often stained with marks from tea, coffee and coke amongst other food and drink products which can cause teeth to dull and lose their shine. Teeth whitening has progressed massively in the last few years and it’s no longer necessary to rely on expensive dentistry to get that perfect white smile. UltraDEX whitening toothpaste has a clinically proven formula that was created by a Professor of Dentistry for dental professionals and unusually for a lot of whitening products is used and recommended by them.
The toothpaste is clinically proven to whiten teeth within 14 days by gently oxidising organic stains to reveal the true brightness of your teeth. It has antibacterial actions to kill bacteria and remove plaque that can lead to gum problems and tooth decay. Bad breath is prevented due to the formula eliminating odour causing compounds.
The Lowdown on UltraDEX whitening toothpaste
If you follow my blog regularly you’ll know of the whitening products I’ve tried over the years and the few that actually worked (see my Doll White review). When I’ve tried whitening toothpastes however I haven’t been too impressed as I’ve never really noticed much of a difference. Unlike a lot of whitening toothpastes the fluoride level is very high (1000 ppm) which is important to protect the integrity of your teeth.
It doesn’t contain peroxide which should only really be used by trained professional and is free from sulphates and harsh abrasives. It looked really promising and I was really excited to try it out.
UltraDEX whitening toothpaste doesn’t foam which is quite unusual and it seems like you don’t get as much as a clean as you would with a foaming toothpaste. It does have a really pleasant mint taste and I didn’t find the lack of foaming too inhibiting.
After use I can’t say my teeth looked any whiter although I will be trying it out over 14 days to get the full effect.
Advantages
- Pleasant mint taste
- No sulphates or harsh abrasives
- Doesn’t contain peroxide
- Unlike a lot of whitening products it is high in fluoride
Disadvantages
- Doesn’t foam which some people may find unusual and off putting
The results of UltraDEX whitening toothpaste
I tested the toothpaste for 14 days to demonstrate the effectiveness of the toothpaste. Here’s the results.
UltraDex whitening toothpaste promised to whiten teeth within 14 days by gently oxidising organic stains to reveal the true brightness of your teeth.
Over 14 days later how did UltraDEX whitening toothpaste perform?
Ultimately I have to say I’m not overly impressed. In the before picture my teeth actually look brighter then the after (although that is probably the light).
As the toothpaste doesn’t foam the paste quickly runs out and it doesn’t feel like you get as good a clean as you would with normal toothpaste. Whilst I did mention this above it did become a little annoying over the testing period.
Whilst the toothpaste is £8.20 at Boots which is quite expensive, you can shop around and get it for the price of a average toothpaste if you really want to try it. It’s available for £4.09 at Weldricks
Overall I have to say I didn’t notice any difference from this toothpaste and I wouldn’t buy it again. In my opinion the strips are the best way to whiten your teeth.
I give it:
