Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes mascara: the new must have

Charlotte tilbury Exagger-Eyes the new must have mascara

Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes has been billed as the ultimate mascara with its curling, volumising and lengthening effect.

It claims to leave lashes looking fanned out with exaggerated fast volume and curl for at least 28 hours.

It doesn’t come cheap at £28 but if it can create that dream long lash, volumised effect it’s worth the splurge, right? I put Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes to the test.

What does Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-eyes mascara look like?

Exagger-Eyes mascara comes in a unique glass tube, with an opulent Charlotte Tilbury art deco design on the lid. The brush is an average length with a curved wand and tightly packed bristles. The formula is generally well distributed, apart from on the end where it appears quite gloopy. It only comes in one shade – Exagger-Black so if you prefer your mascara a little more subtle this may not be for you.

There are two sizes to pick from, the full size 10ml (£28) or you can try a tester for 4ml (£16). The cost is not that different though so it is better value to stick with the full size mascara.

If you want to see if it will suit you, there is an option to try it through Charlotte’s Virtual Try On when you go on the Charlotte tilbury website.

The application

Exagger-Eyes mascara has the softest brush so I can apply it to all my lashes, even the outer corner without it feeling scratchy or irritating. The brush grabs every lash without ease and I’m left with lengthened, curled and well defined lashes. Whilst most mascaras I try work well at volumising my lashes, they often fail to give lift to my outer lashes like Exagger-Eyes has.

The formula is quite wet so it may get slightly messy on application, but the formula on the main part of the brush isn’t at all gloppy.

The mascara definitely didn’t leave my lashes looking clumpy, however I found the lashes on my right eye stick together slightly more than the left. I’ve always had one eye that looks better with mascara on sadly, just one of those things I guess!

However it does not look terrible and it can easily be separated with a lash comb whilst your lashes are wet.

I applied several layers of Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eye and did not have any issues with my lashes looking overloaded.

Does the mascara last?

The mascara stayed put all day without flaking or smudging around my eyes. I love how curly and lifted the outer corner of my eyes looked, I’m not used to seeing a mascara make my lashes look so fab.

When it came to removing the mascara, it was fairly easy as the mascara just melted away.

I am literally in love with Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes mascara. I’ve tried other Charlotte Tilbury mascaras like Pillow Talk which are good, but I think this is the best yet. It is a little pricey but it’s so worth it.

Have you tried Exagger-Eyes mascara yet? Let me know what you think in the comments!

Advantages

  • Leaves my lashes looking curly, volumised and defined. It’s probably the closest to a false lash effect I’ve had so far in a mascara.
  • Doesn’t smudge or flake over the course of the day.
  • Lasts all day

Disadvantages

  • A little on the pricey side if you’re on a budget.
  • It can be a little messy initially on application as the formula is quite wet.
  • A few lashes may stick together when applying but I wouldn’t go as far as to say it leaves your lashes looking clumpy.
