What’s in my summer makeup bag?
When the weather warms up I want my summer makeup to be light, but still give me that dewy glow I love. The products I’m using in my summer makeup bag don’t make my skin sweat, and most importantly they don’t melt in the sun. My key makeup products have to be foundation, and concealer to keep the blemishes at bay and give me a flawless finish. Let me reveal what’s in my makeup bag.
Meroda Changing foundation
If you’re looking for a foundation that instantly adapts to your skin tone and gives you a lovely glow you need to try this. Meroda Changing foundation has Hyaluronic acid to keep your skin hydrated and SPF 15 to protect it from the suns harmful rays. It looks really natural and it’s not at all heavy on the skin. You can see how it looks on in the video below.
Rimmel Thrill Seeker Extra Volume mascara
Some of Rimmel’s latest mascaras have been pretty good, but I’m really loving their latest edition. Rimmel Thrill Seeker Extra Volume mascara adds length, volume and lift all in one swipe. See what I thought in more depth here.
Nars Radiant creamy concealer
There’s not many concealers that really work for me, but Nars Radiant creamy concealer is different. The creamy consistency means my whole under eye area is camouflaged without it looking too sheer.
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Rimmel Stay Matte powder really helps to seal my makeup and eliminate any oiliness. It’s not heavy on my skin either which is a bonus in the warmer weather.
Westman Atelier highlighter
When I’m looking for a sheer subtle highlight, Westman Atelier highlight is perfect. I love how the light catches the highlight and gives my cheekbones a lovely shape.
SHEIN SHEGLAM Cheeky Color Jam blusher
These little pots of blush provide a huge amount of colour in just a tiny amount of product. At just £3.15 they’re a great budget buy and will last for ages.
SHEIN SHEGLAM eyeliner
This eyeliner is perfect as it gives a precise defined line without smudging. It does fade a little if you have watery eyes, but I find most eyeliners do that (even the waterproof ones!).
SHEIN SHEGLAM Triple Threat Correcting Primer
This is a dupe of Stila One Step Correct, it does the same thing but is so much cheaper. I find it’s great at neutralising any obvious blemishes on my skin.
Revolution Eye Bright Illuminating under eye concealer
I use this to conceal any blemishes on my skin as the shade is the closest to my skin tone. It conceals redness without making my skin look dry or flaky.
L’Oréal Les Macarons Ultra Matte liquid lipstick
I find so many liquid lipsticks promise to last for hours, but fade after just two. L’Oréal Les Macarons is not one of them. This lipstick lasts all day with very minimal fading. As the colour is a good match to my own lip shade you don’t notice the parts that have faded either. This is one of my top lipsticks up on the same level as Maybelline Super Stay liquid lipstick.

Some great products, but others that I haven’t tried yet.
Some nice products that I’m sure my wife would like to try!
I always wear lighter shades in the summer and darker in the winter.
