Skedadle pays you for playing games
If you love making money and playing games, Skedadle is an app you definitely need to get. Skedadle currently has nine arcade style games to play, and let me tell you they’re pretty addictive. You’ll be pleased to know you’ll find the famous Snake game, a bit of Space Raiders and even those really tricky slider puzzles. To show you how much money you can make i’m going to play each game for five minutes and show you the amount before and after. You won’t get rich with Skedadle but you could earn a nice bit of pocket money.
Is there a catch to making money with Skedadle?
There’s no catch with Skedadle it’s completely free. They earn money with ads that are shown in the background when you’re playing games. They can be a little distracting, but you do get used to them over time.
Here’s a little bit more about what you’ll expect with each game and how much money I earned playing it for five minutes.
4096
4096 is a game where the aim is to reach 4096. To do this you add together numbers until they reach 4096. Sounds easy right? Well if you don’t move quickly enough you’ll keep getting numbers added to the board, and once the board is full you lose.
This is one of my favourites and I’m always trying to beat my high score. I earned 8p playing this for five minutes.
Slide
Slide is like those jigsaw puzzles where one piece is missing and you need to move the pieces around until the puzzle pieces are back in the correct order. The faster you complete the puzzle the higher scores you’ll earn. You can get some help which will tell you the number each piece is so you can work out where it’s meant to go.
Slide is a little tricky in my opinion and I haven’t played it that much. I didn’t get a single puzzle right but somehow earned 5p for playing this for five minutes.
Brix
The aim of Brix is to destroy as many bricks as you can. Try to hit and catch the special bricks as you can get rewards such as extra balls and the ability to destroy bricks faster.
Once the bricks fill the screen or your ball(s) disappears completely it’s game over. I earned 4p playing this for five minutes.
Flappydaddle
With Flappydaddle you need to successfully navigate your bird through the obstacles without crashing to the ground. Easier said then done in my opinion!
I earned 4p playing this for five minutes.
Invaderz
Invaderz is very much like it’s namesake Space Invaders. You need to destroy all the aliens without being destroyed yourself. Try to catch all the shields that drop and avoid the bullets/falling aliens.
The game has a real 70s nostalgic feel to it and is very addictive. I earned 5p playing Invaderz for five minutes.
Finger Ninja
The aim of Finger Ninja is to destroy as many items as you can before they destroy you. The items come flying at you fast so you need super fast reflexes to destroy them. You get three lives, but if you hit a bomb it’s game over straight away.
I earned 8p playing Finger Ninja for five minutes.
Scramble
Yes you guessed it, Scramble is pretty identical to Scrabble. You need to make as many words as you can within 60 seconds and make the words as long as possible. The letters are constantly spinning which makes it trickier to work out the right words. Try to include unusual letters like Q and Z to get higher scores.
I earned 3p playing Scramble for five minutes.
Snake
This is probably my favourite games on Skedadle. If you remember the era of the old Nokia phones, you’ll remember the Snake game. You need to eat as many pizza items as you can without crashing into your body. You get extra points for completing each pizza you make.
You’ll want to keep trying to beat your score on this game. I earned 4p for playing Snake for five minutes.
Stackit
The idea of Stackit is to create the highest stack of boards that you can. If your board slightly misses the one underneath, your board will get smaller and smaller until you only have a tiny board left. If you then miss the board underneath completely it’s game over. To make it tricker the boards will start sliding to and fro whilst you’re trying to place your next board. Occasionally you’ll get stars which will get you rewards like a higher stack or longer board.
Stackit is a very fun and fast paced game. I earned 3p for playing Stackit for five minutes.
So in total I earned 42p playing each of the nine games currently available on Skedadle. I earned less on the games that I didn’t enjoy as much, and didn’t get a very high score on. Make sure you play the games you enjoy the most as you’ll score higher, and earn more. You’re certainly not going to get rich playing Skedadle, but the games are fun to play when you have some downtime, and why not get paid for playing!?
You can cash out once you hit £5.
If you’re pretty competitive and want to get your friends on board, Skedadle currently has a leaderboard where you can try to beat each others scores. They even have an exclusive game you can only play if you use the leaderboard.
