Is Rare Beauty lip soufflé matte lipstick as good as the hype?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, I imagine you’ve probably heard some of the hype about the Rare Beauty range. Created by Selena Gomez, the brand focuses on inclusivity, positivity and empowerment. The brand creates products for all skin types and tones and is designed to make you feel fabulous. I’ve seen lots of photos, videos and reviews about Rare Beauty demonstrating how amazing the products are. Rare Beauty lip souffle matte lipstick is probably one of the most talked about products, and that’s why I wanted to put it to the test.

Final thoughts on Rare Beauty lip souffle matte lipstick
I think it’s great that Rare Beauty is a brand that makes everyone feel welcome. The Rare Beauty lip soufflé matte cream lipstick in Motivate is a gorgeous shade and really lights up my complexion. The colour is really pigmented and it’s really easy to build up. Despite what they claim, it does feel a little drying after I first applied it, although it is generally comfortable to wear. The slight element of dryness does diseppear after a little while. I love how lightweight it feels, there’s no heaviness and it doesn’t feel sticky. After applying, the lip soufflé quickly dries to leave a powder suede like consistency.
Rare Beauty lip souffle matte lipstick only lasted for around five hours on the first application but that was after eating and drinking. Considering the price tag and their claim that it lasts all day I have to say I’m a little disappointed. However it is easy enough to reapply.
I give it:
Advantages
- 15 fabulous shades to try
- The lipstick feels comfortable to wear
- I love how much the Rare Beauty lip soufflé matte lipstick in the shade Motivate lights up my complexion
- It feels super light on my lips
Disadvantages
- The lipstick does not last all day as they claim
- It does feel a little drying after applying
Ever wondered if Give Me Argan and Coconut oil hair mask really works? Well you can see the results in my review.

It looks great so that it’s a shame it doesn’t last as long as their promise.
Such a pretty colour, it’s disappointing that it’s not as long lasting as it’s claimed to be!
Thank you for the review, I’m always on the lookout for a good lipstick. I’ve never found one that lasts all day however!
The shades are so pretty but I definitely avoid dry feeling lipsticks, much prefer buttery ones
