Following on from my recent review of John Frieda Luxurious Volume Fine to Full blowout spray I was lucky enough to be selected to test their new Luxurious Volume blow dry root booster spray.

The product comes in a turquoise bottle with a spray nozzle. From the looks of the bottle it does not appear to be as premium as the Fine to Full Blowout spray.

With a promise of transforming fine, flat hair into salon caliber hair with natural looking volume I was expecting a lot from this product.

I sprayed the product into my roots both on top and under and blow dried my hair upside down for the maximum effect.

Like with John Frieda‘s other volumising product I felt the uplift was minimal and not what I expected.

After finishing styling my hair I found that my hair did have some added volume, albeit not quite as much as I was expecting. If you are after a product that will give your hair a helping hand it’s a great product to use but if you want a huge amount of volume it won’t really help.

Now I bought this product because of a review I read on another blog so I was expecting something good to happen. Despite using this product for over a month religiously applying every night I saw no change in the appearance of my dark circles.

I’ve always had quite sensitive skin but puffiness was never a problem so I was really hoping that it would have a major effect on how dark the skin under my eyes appears. I’m sad to see that it didn’t live up to my expectations and that I’ll have to apply concealer for another Christmas!
