I love trying new highlighters and whilst I tend to stick mostly to powder highlight, I love to try liquid highlighters from time to time. Avon Luminous Finish is a budget face illuminator that will leave your skin with a subtle shimmer. You can wear it as a highlighter or mix it in with your foundation for an all over glow.

The product comes in a black tube and has a light creamy consistency with a delicate shimmer.

It comes out quite thick when you squeeze it so try to avoid squeezing the tube too hard or you’ll end up losing half the product.

I wanted to see how it worked as a highlighter so after applying blusher I applied it to my cheekbones and along my brow bone.

Whilst the illuminator did add a light shimmer to my skin, the effect was really quite minimal and didn’t really make my cheeks or brows stand out.

I’m really quite disappointed with this product as I expected the shimmer to be a lot more intense and noticeable.

For the very subtle shimmer and lack of definition I give this product 1.5/5
