Get a flawless finish and all day coverage with Revolution IRL Filter foundation

It’s been a long time coming since I’ve written a foundation review, but I was super excited to try Revolutions new IRL Filter foundation so I couldn’t not tell you all about it. The foundation is billed as an ‘in real life filter’. I take this to mean it looks like the best version of yourself. With tons of glowing reviews and people loving it just as much as Revolution 5D Lash POW mascara it certainly seemed like the next best beauty buy. The foundation is oil free with a soft matte finish and comes in 50 shades. I don’t think i’ve seen any foundations available in that many shades so I’m pretty impressed Revolution are trying to cater to everyone. For my review I’ve picked F2 which seemed a good match for my skin tone. Here’s what I thought of Revolution IRL Filter foundation.
What is Revolution IRL Filter foundation like?
The foundation formula has a really good consistency- it’s not too thick or too thin and gives flawless coverage on one application. The foundation did amazingly well at covering up blemishes like dark circles so I only need a small amount of concealer on top. It’s easy to blend and doesn’t feel heavy on my skin. The foundation does have a strange scent to it, I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be fruity but it just smells a bit artificial. However you only really notice the scent when you first apply it. The foundation has such good coverage you only really need one layer so the foundation never looks heavy or like it’s caked on.
So does it last?
Before I applied Revolution IRL foundation I used Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer which helps lengthen the life of my makeup. I’ve tried other primers but feel this one works the best. After using a primer I find the foundation does last for many hours without fading.

Final thoughts on Revolution IRL Filter foundation
I love the excellent coverage of this foundation and the decent colour match as often foundations make me look too pale. It’s not heavy and is really good at reducing the slight oiliness of my t-zone. Whilst it is a matte foundation I still feel it adds a lovely glow to my complexion. The only real downside is it does accentuate dry skin slightly which is a bit annoying but moisturising beforehand should help reduce this.
I give it:
