iPhone apps I love: How to make money and have fun

Like most women I’m often glued to my phone and that’s mainly down to the huge range of apps I have on my phone. From surveys, to games, social media and investment apps my iPhone is a item that I can use to have fun and make money (you know how much I love that). A couple of years ago I showed you my favourite iPhone apps, whilst I still use most of these, today I’m going to show you some of my favourite iPhone apps that I’ve used over the last year.

Influence app

Formerly known as Voxpopme, the Influence app lets you earn money by sharing your opinions through video. Each survey takes only up to a minute to complete (often less then that) and pays a minimum of 25p. Often they will have extra video questions which will qualify you for special videos which pay a minimum of 65p for one minute and you often get a few to complete. They also have special video surveys sometime where you can get paid a lot more (from £10-£40) to complete a series of special videos. It’s definitely worth completing the extra questions if you want to make a bit more money. You can join under my invite and start earning money.

Freetrade investment app

I started using Freetrade a lot more at the start of the lockdown (when shares were so cheap) and I haven’t looked back. I love the idea of earning a passive income and Freetrade allows me to do that through the dividends I get on my shares. Not all shares pay dividends and I explain a bit more on my YouTube video where I go into more detail on how you make money on Freetrade. It’s also good to diversify and buy shares that may grow over time, they recommend you hold shares for around ten years to get a good return on your investment. Weare8 app

I only discovered this app recently but it’s a nice little way to make money and help charity at the same time. Once you sign up you’ll get invites to watch videos from brands that last around one to two minutes. Each video pays at least 10p sometimes more. The brand will also pay charities a fixed amount as well just for you watching a video. There’s not many rewards apps that help you feel good whilst earning money at the same time. After 30 days the brand pays out and you can withdraw your earnings. You can sign up under my code.

Qmee

If you want to make a bit of money in your spare time I would really recommend you try Qmee. The app has surveys from a couple of minutes to 25 minutes and they can pay up to a couple of pounds. You can also earn through cashback and by signing up to offers. I love it as it’s so easy to use and I can earn money when I’m bored. You can cash out through PayPal and there’s no minimum amount to cash out. You can also install their desktop extension and you can get paid to search Google. All you have to do is search for your item as normal and if eligible a Qmee icon will pop up on the left hand side with a related item to what you’re looking for. If you click on it you’ll earn around 5-10p. If you want to sign up use my code and you’ll get 50p to get you started.

Notes app

Whilst this may sound random I’m a real fan of the iPhone notes app. I use it to write all my blog posts, shopping lists, things to do etc and it’s great to have everything in one place. It’s also really handy as you can use it to scan documents and they come out perfect. No more wonky pictures of documents!

Unrd app

When I’m feeling bored I delve into the Unrd app. As you’ll see in my detailed review of Unrd, it lets you delve into the phones of other people and watch as the story unfolds message by message. Whether you’re into romance, crime or you horror you’ll find a story for you. The only annoying thing about the Unrd app is that you have to unlock certain messages with tokens or wait a certain amount of time for the message to unlock, this can be frustrating if it’s a gritty part of the story.

SHEIN app

If I need a shopping fix I will probably head over to SHEIN. The prices are really low but the quality is still decent and they have some beautiful designs. You’ll find everything from children’s clothing to pet toys. They have amazing discounts and you will get at least 15% off every order. They’re really generous with cashback as well so if you want to get cashback as well as your new clothes head to TopCashback. I often find you can get cashback of around 10% so if you spend £100.00 (very easy to do) you will get £10.00 back.

Airtime Rewards

Don’t you love getting money for buying things you need anyway? Airtime Rewards is a cashback app with a slight difference, all you need to do is add your cards and shop as normal, Airtime Rewards does everything else. The app is designed to reduce the cost of your phone bill through the cashback you earn. You can also choose to withdraw the funds and spend it on something else if your phone bill is already low. Canva

When you run a blog, Canva is one of the most essential iPhone apps. It has free and paid versions, but there’s still so much you can do with the free version of Canva. There are templates for everything from collages to YouTube thumbnails and Pinterest pins. The templates are so easy to use and in a few clicks I have some beautiful designs to advertise my blog posts and YouTube videos with.
