Unrd is the latest app the join the found phone trend- satisfy your curiosity as the crime, horror and romance stories unfold in real time

If someone you’re close to ever leaves their phone unlocked can you resist your temptation to sneak a peek at their messages? If you have a need to satisfy that inner curiosity, you’ll love the voyeuristic nature of the Unrd app. Unrd is a story telling app that gives you unfiltered access into the phones- and lives of several different characters, giving you real life access to their stories as they unfold. You’ll read the messages of the friends and families, watch the live videos, see the photos and try to work out the mystery of what happened.

What sort of stories will you expect to find on the app?

The Unrd app has a number of different stories across several genres including romance, crime and horror. A lot of the stories are one off specials, but there are a few series that have been created. When I first downloaded Unrd I read Last Seen Online, a story of a girl who goes missing after a night out. After that story I was hooked, I love how involving the story is and how each message gets you thinking. There’s always a few red herrings thrown in and who I believed to be the killer couldn’t have been further then the truth.

Next up was My Last Three Days, one of the series on the app. The series revolves around the life of Josie King a everyday girl who’s turned into a superstar overnight when her song goes viral. The story follows her life through her messages and shows her horror as she starts to get stalked by a unknown figure. Trapped with no way out after the stalker breaks in she is tragically murdered.

After her death, The Next 3 Days follows the life of her friend Perri in the aftermath of her murder. She tries to find the stalker and ends up in his trap.

Cue The Final 3 Days as the killer is finally revealed. For every story I’ve read you have to go into it with a open mind, nothing is what you think and the endings are always full of twists and turns. The best stories always are I believe!

Is Unrd free to download?

There are a few free stories for non subscribers but a lot of the stories are now unfortunately for members only. Membership costs are not extortionate however, you can get a years access for £30.00 (best value) or opt for monthly or 6 monthly options. When you first sign up you’ll also get a three day free period in which you can decide it it’s right for you. There’s no contract, you can cancel at any time. If you enjoy reading books then this is a very interactive, modern version of the classic book.
