Odylique Mineral mascara review
What can Odylique organic mascara do for you?
If you hate the thought of coating your lashes in layer after layer of chemical you may want to consider Odylique mineral mascara. It is the first organically certified mascara and has been created with nourishing plant extracts and Aloe Vera. If you suffer from sensitive eyes and don’t get on with traditional mascaras you may find this will help you wear mascara again.
The Lowdown
With a whole host of celebrity fans including Emma Watson I was excited to give this a go.
The formula of the mascara is quite light and applies just enough product to coat my lashes without feeling gloppy. On the downside I found it had the most strange smell, like a mixture of slightly off chocolate and orange. It feels really comfortable to wear and doesn’t irritate my eyes at all.
The mascara works well at keeping my lashes separated and defined and I did get a small amount of curl. The finish is fairly minimal and the formula is not strong enough to give me bold lashes. It doesn’t smudge and I didn’t end up with dark marks around my eyes at the end of the day. I did notice however my lashes did seem to wilt a lot and I could barely notice the mascara I had applied by the time I took my makeup off at night.
This is not a mascara to use if you want high impact in your face lashes, but it would work well for a more casual look, for example work.
I give it:
Have you tried any products from Odylique? What did you think of them? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the mascara.
