Sleek Distorted Dreams highlighter review
With the festival season coming up, Sleek Distorted Dreams highlighter couldn’t have come at a better time. With a mixture of cream and powder textures with reflective holographic pigments, the palette has been designed to create a supernatural glow.
The shades are a lot more adventurous than their previous highlighter palettes, and Sleek encourages you to use them on your eyelids, cheeks and lips.
I love the Sleek Solstice highlighting palette so I was really excited to give this a go. Have a watch as I try out the palette for the first time and give my initial impressions.
Sleek Distorted Dreams palette is certainly different to what you’d normally expect to see. Typically highlighters have gold, pink or silver hues, so the Distorted Dreams palette is quite different in that it focuses on a variety of shades, including blue and green.
In all honesty there were only two shades that I would use as a highlighter, the others seemed a little out there. You could probably use the blue as a sheer highlight to catch the light, but I think the green looks a little strange.
You could probably use the other shades as eyeshadows, but they’re not really shades I would typically wear. However for a festival you want your makeup to stand out, so it definitely give you the option to create some unique eye catching looks.
Sleek Distorted Dreams palette would be great for a special occasion, but for the everyday it doesn’t work so well.
