With a full time job and a blog to run, I often find my weeks are so busy it’s hard to find time for me. So when it comes to the weekend, I often find it quite exciting to spend Saturday nights at home, relaxing, socialising with friends and having fun. Giff Gaff understand the power of community and they know TV is one of the best ways to get everyone together. To celebrate this they’re sponsoring TVs biggest program The Voice. I’ve teamed up with Giff Gaff to show you all the fabulous ways you can have a great night in with friends or alone (after you’ve finished watching The Voice of course!)

watch the telly on the big screen at home

Ok so it’s not quite a cinema, but a mobile phone projector is the next best thing. All you need to do is plug your phone into a specially designed mobile projector, project onto a wall, grab your popcorn and enjoy the show. You’ll enjoy your Netflix favourites much more on the big screen. You can buy your own mobile cinema projector here.

have fun by listening to music with friends

Listen to music with friends

With the availability of good quality speakers, you don’t need to go out to enjoy listening to music with your friends. If you can’t agree on what type of music to listen to, apps like Deezer play a variety of pre-selected tunes. Whilst you can pay for a subscription, you can still get most of the features for free, albeit with ads. Even if you can’t be in your room with your friends, you can get together on Zoom for free and start jamming.

take some me time

Take some me time

I think it’s important to create a space for me time at the weekend. As most of you aren’t at work this is the perfect time for it. Focus on something you really enjoy doing, whether that’s reading a book, your favourite magazine (I love Cosmopolitan) or simply relaxing with a sensual candle burning in the background. You could even try doing something different like a jigsaw puzzle or even create your own diamond painting. I found out about diamond paintings a few days ago and can’t wait to get started on my own!

Watch all the YouTube you can handle

Love your cat videos or maybe you’re a crime buff? YouTube is full of videos for every topic you can imagine. Even if you’re not sure exactly what you want to watch, the suggested videos will keep you busy well into the night.

try cooking a new meal from scratch on a night in

Try cooking a new meal from scratch

Are you getting bored of eating the same old things? A Saturday night in is the perfect time to discover a new meal that you want to eat, and cook it from scratch. I always find home cooked food always tastes so much better then stuff you buy in a supermarket. Whatever it is you’ve always wanted to try- whether that’s Beef Wellington, Ratatouille or seafood linguine give it a try and see how good you can make it. If it doesn’t taste as good as you imagine you’ve got plenty more weekends you can to get it up to scratch.

I hope these tips help you to have a great night in. With everyone that’s been going on lately these tips will certainly come in handy I’m sure!

If you love the post and think your friends and family would love to discover these tips on a great night in, please give it a share.
