The Lowdown on Essence Lash Princess Mascara

I first heard about Essence Lash Princess mascara in a news story that was raving about the massive false lashes you get from a budget mascara. The picture showed a before and after and it was certainly impressive – a false lash effect for less than a fiver!

The mascara has a pretty decorative design, which really makes it stand out compared to your typical budget mascara. The mascara has a fibre brush with tapered bristles to fit the contours of your eye.

When I first used it there was a small amount of gloopy mascara clinging on to the brush, however this didn’t transfer on to the main bristles.

The mascara helps to lift and adds definition to my naturally fine lashes, however I did feel the formula was a little too thick which unfortunately resulted in some clumping. After applying eyeliner the mascara wasn’t that visible so I did have to apply around three layers to get the false lash effect I desired.

Essence Lash Princess mascara lasts all day without fading or flaking and didn’t smudge. It felt really comfortable to wear and my lashes stayed full and volumised all day without dropping. The only major downside is the clumping which is a little annoying but can easily be sorted with a lash brush. At £3.29 this costs a tiny bit more than a cup of coffee at Costa but it will last you a damn sight longer!
