Tickle your taste buds with these amazing indulgent chocolate caramel brownies

The recipe that follows is not for the faint hearted and is certainly not low in calories but it simply tastes amazing and is too good to miss. The brownie has the perfect combination of egg to chocolate ratio which tickles the palate but does not give you the sickly sweet chocolate overload that a lot of brownies can give. Read on to find out how to make indulgent chocolate caramel brownies.

Firstly preheat the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4.

  1. Put the chocolate, butter and caramel in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. Leave until it’s almost melted, then remove from the heat and stir until fully melted.

2. In a clean bowl beat the eggs and sugar together until you have a rich, foamy mix.

3. Stir the melted chocolate mix into the sugar until it’s fully blended together.

4. Sift the flour and baking powder together

5. Add the white chocolate buttons into the mixture and stir well

 6. Pour your mixture into a lined tin and bake for 35 minutes until the top is firm and spongy and leave it to cool on a wire rack. When your brownies have cooled down sprinkle icing sugar on top for that perfect professional finish.
