Discover some of the best attractions in Paris

Paris is known for being one of the most romantic cities in Europe, so if you haven’t yet been, you should definitely add it to your list of places to visit this year. Here are some of the best attractions in Paris which will whet your appetite for a city break with your loved one.
Eiffel Tower
Unless you don’t like heights or you’ve already been, you really can’t come to Paris without a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Depending on when you visit, you may have to queue for the lifts up to the different levels, but it’s well worth the wait. Even if you have been up the Eiffel Tower before, I think it’s always worth another trip as it’s one of the best attractions in Paris by far. You can take in the changing city down below and even take a walk on the glass floor – if you dare.
Jardin de Tuileries
These 28-hectare formal gardens separate the Louvre from the Place de la Concorde. If you are visiting Paris in good weather, you are well placed to enjoy all they have to offer. A leisurely walk and a picnic should be on the cards, as it’s an ideal spot to enjoy the views of the nearby Louvre and the Eiffel Tower in the distance.

Notre Dame
If you travelled to Paris before 2019, you may have visited the Notre Dame in all its glory. Paris’s famous medieval cathedral hit the headlines in 2019 when it caught alight and the fire was so serious, that the cathedral had to close to allow for it to be restored. The restoration is well underway and has been reopening to the public in stages. I’d urge you to make the trip and enjoy this amazing building once more. It really is one of the most iconic and must see attractions in Paris.
Pont de l’Archevêché
Once you’ve visited the Notre Dame, you should take a wander across the bridge named the Pont de l’Archevêché (better known as Love Bridge). The French Government famously had to intervene as so many couples attached locks to the bridge, that the structural integrity of the bridge became a concern. Today it is illegal to attach a lock to the bridge, but you are actively encouraged to take selfies whilst on the bridge enjoying the views of the river Seine and the Notre Dame. If you want a tourist destination where you really feel the love, this is one of the best attractions in Paris.
Montparnasse Tower
If you have been there and done that when it comes to the Eiffel Tower, you could always take in the city of Paris from another famous tower. The Montparnasse Tower gives you panoramic views of Paris including looking across at the Eiffel Tower. I’d suggest purchasing a ticket in advance of your visit, as you won’t need to queue when you get there. Saves you time to enjoy everything else on offer in this amazing city.

Arc de Triomphe
Using the handy subways underneath the roundabout, you can gain access to the Arc de Triomphe. This famous memorial is well-known for housing the Tomb оf thе Unknown Soldier and the memorial flame and was built to honour those who fought for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Getting up close is a must as it’s highly decorative and simply quite stunning to look at.
