Everyday summer routine makeup looks
It’s been a while since I showed you all my everyday makeup routine and I think it’s the perfect time for a refresher. I’m embracing the summer vibes and I’ve gone for a light look with bright eyes and berry lips. It’s important to make the most of what I’ve got and really brighten my skin so I can look as glowing as the sun outside. I always finish the look with setting spray to keep my makeup looking fabulous for as long as possible, especially in the hot weather. Here’s a breakdown of what I wore in my Summer makeup looks.
Face
I love to use Revolution Pro foundation drops as it has a light water based formula that can be worn minimally or build up for extra coverage. It lasts for ages and is pretty good at covering up blemishes like dark circles. As it doesn’t have a creamy finish it’s not prone to melting like traditional foundations. I use shade F1.
Asda George compact powder is a lot lighter then NYX No Filter which I was using previously. It gives my skin a gorgeous flawless satiny finish that looks great in photos. Even better it’s under £5. I use the light shade.
Miss Sporty Insta Glow blusher in is a bright pink that really warms up my skin tone. It seems really bright in the pan but on my skin it has more of a natural rosey finish. It looks best when applied to the apples of my cheeks. Another major reason to go for brighter shades in summer is that you sweat a lot more in the heat and this gradually reduces the bright tones you see initially in the morning so the shade becomes more subtle. I use shade Glowing.
I use Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear concealer as it has such a high coverage formula that it’s great at covering up my dark circles. It is quite creamy so less is definitely more and I make sure to blend it out with powder so it’s not too shiny.
I love MUA Luxe Light Lustre highlighter as it produces a highlight that really brightens up my face. Amazingly it only costs £5.00 but can perform just as well as it’s pricier competitors. If you want a highlight that will have you showered with compliments this is the one. I used the shade Lavish.
Eyes
Regardless of the season I always like to make my eyes stand out and Rimmel Wonder Swipe eyeliner is my current go to liner. It has a really sturdy brush so I know it will go only where ‘I’ want it to. It’s also available in 16 shades so you’ll find one for every occasion. I use shade Fushun.
As I mentioned in my review I love Essence Super Curl mascara as it makes my lashes look amazing and even better it’s under £5! It’s really comfortable to wear and doesn’t streak either. Winner!
I’ve recently been trying out the new Laid Bare eyeshadow by Primark. It has 10 nude shades in all my favourite tones – golds, pinks and brown. The shadows don’t crease and they last for ages too.
Available for around £6.00 in Primark stores
Lips
I’m going pretty simple on the lips this summer. Collection Velvet Kiss Cotton Candy is a dark raspberry shade with a matte finish. The perfect tone to finish off a summer outfit.
