Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink lipstick is a must buy

As you probably know if you follow me regularly, I’m always on the hunt for a lipstick that lasts. I’ve tried many lipsticks on my travels, and find the only ones that really last more then a hour was Maybelline Superstay Matte ink lipsticks. However I’ve since found another lipstick that’s just as good – the new Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink lipstick.

Available in 10 shades, the lipstick promises a no budge vinyl colour. The shades vary from the nude brown Witty to the crimson orange Red-Hot. Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink lipstick has been created with a colour lock formula which means you don’t have to worry about it smudging or transferring onto your glass or food. Even better, it’s vegan friendly and contains Vitamin E and aloe to leave your lips feeling soft and comfortable. It’s designed to last for around 16 hours so you don’t have to worry about having to top it up constantly.

So Maybelline’s claims sound amazing but how does it really perform?

For my review I chose Coy, a light berry shade. The lipstick is really pigmented and glides on so easily. The formula feels really light and almost weightless. It doesn’t feel sticky and is so comfortable to wear. It has a instant shine finish which gives the slight appearance of a lip gloss but with 10x the colour intensity.

The thing I love most about the lipstick is how long lasting it is. Even after eating and drinking it doesn’t shift, and by the evening the majority of it was still visible. It did slightly fade on the inside of my lips by the evening, but you’d only really notice it if you looked really closely. Coy is quite a natural shade that matches my lips quite well, so darker shades may appear more faded, however the staying power is still amazing. I would have to agree with Maybelline’s claims about this lipstick as it really is a super long lasting lipstick.
