Rimmel Scandaleyes Volume on Demand mascara transforms your lashes

It’s been a while since I’ve found a mascara that’s really impressed me. Whilst I’ve loved mascaras like Smashbox Fanned Out mascara in the past, I think it’s important to find great budget friendly alternatives for days when you don’t have lots to spend on makeup. Rimmel Scandaleyes Volume on Demand mascara is my latest budget beauty find. The mascara is under £10.00 and certainly packs a punch when it comes to providing a long lash look.

So what’s so special about Rimmel Scandaleyes Volume on Demand mascara?

Part of the Rimmel Scandaleye family, Rimmel Scandaleyes Volume on Demand mascara promises full volumised lashes that are clump, flake and smudge free. Unlike a lot of mascaras that have a plastic brush, Volume on Demand has a unique fibre brush that has a wavy sculpted design. The wavy brush helps to grab your lashes and add volume without having to add multiple layers. As the brush is so long it encompassed most of my eye so one stroke of the mascara adds loads of volume and definition. The brush feels soft on my eye when I apply it and there’s no scratchiness or irritation that you get with plastic brushes. I love how the formula is enriched with conditions ingredients which helps stop my lashes drying out and becoming brittle. The mascara looks quite impressive on a bare eye but the real test comes when I apply eyeliner. I often find my mascara disappears once I apply eyeliner, however with Volume on Demand that didn’t happen and my eyes still looked really defined. There was a slight clumping of a few lashes but for the most part my lashes were clump free.

Does Rimmel Scandaleyes Volume on Demand mascara last?

This is the most important question when you buy any mascara- after all you don’t want it to smudge all around your eyes after a couple of hours. I’m pleased to say the mascara lasts for hours without my lashes dropping. It’s comfortable to wear all day and doesn’t feel irritating on my lashes. The mascara didn’t smudge under my eyes but I did notice a few smudges around the top of my eye on a few days. Just for reference there is also a waterproof version available.

I was really impressed with Rimmel Scandaleyes Volume on Demand. It’s a great mascara that adds fantastic volume and definition that lasts all day. It’s comfortable to wear and conditions my lashes as well. The only downside is the occasional smudge. Definitely a budget friendly beauty essential that you’ll want in your makeup bag.
