Discover the truth about celebrity favourite Beauty Sleep Elixir
Want completely natural skincare? Try Beuti Beauty Sleep Elixir. I gave it a try to see if it’s as good at anti ageing as they claim
Beauty Sleep Elixir was billed as the game changing anti ageing oil – loved by many celebrities including Kate Middleton – everyone was scrambling to get their hands on it. I was invited to try the oil to see what it was like, and as you know I’m always keen to see if a product lives up to its reviews. I’ve tried quite a few anti ageing products over the years and unfortunately I can’t really say any of them have done much for me it all. So I wasn’t expecting too much but as Kate Middleton loved it I had some hope in store.
So what’s inside the Beauty Sleep Elixir?
Developed by Beuti Skincare, the Beauty Sleep Elixir is a 100% natural blend of 14 plant based oils, including Caribbean oil extract which is known for its use as a potent anti-inflammatory which neutralises the enzyme which ages skin. This works in collaboration with sandalwood nut kernel oil to prevent collagen and elastin breakdown. Other natural goodies included in the oil are:
- Camellia oil
- Chia seed oil
- Bitter cherry seed oil
- Strawberry seed oil
- Pomegranate seed oil
- Blueberry seed oil
- Cranberry seed oil
- Raspberry seed oil
- Seabuckthorn fruit berry oil
- Sandalwood oil
- Lavender herb oil
- Geranium flower oil
- Neroli flower oil
- Capric trglyceride from coconuts.
The Beauty Sleep Elixir was designed to provide completely natural skincare that doesn’t irritate or inflame skin through added chemicals. Beuti claims your skin will be left glowing – and without chemicals to inflame your skin, collagen and elastin will remain intact.
What you’ve all been waiting for – the results
The Beauty Sleep Elixir is a light orange oil with very little scent. It feels quite greasy on my skin after applying and this greasiness stays well until the morning. This suggests to me it doesn’t absorb into my skin all that well. You only need a few drops of the oil to completely cover your face so the oil will last a long time.
When I was first sent the oil I got the impression that it could reduce the signs of ageing that are already there. After a while I realised this probably isn’t the case. I tested this product over a period of months- a lot longer then they recommend for you to start seeing results. I wanted to use the oil to reduce the intensity of the fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes. I used the oil every night for months without fail and I failed to see any difference in the intensity of my fine lines. Whilst I realise the oils purpose is mainly to stop future signs of ageing, it’s kind of difficult to review that in just a few months (you would need years!). So effectively that’s quite a bold claim. As the oil is really greasy I didn’t want to use it too often all over my face. After a few months I didn’t really think my skin looked anymore glowing then it did when I first started to use it. Beuti recommend you can use it as a primer and spot treatment though. As there was so many good reviews for the oil I was really disappointed to find it didn’t do anything for me.
I give it 1/5
What do you think – have you had different experiences with the oil if you’ve given it a go? As always I love to hear what you think!
