Pre-Christmas detox plan
Christmas is the one time of the year where you can truly indulge without feeling guilty. With an endless supply of sweets, fatty food and glasses of alcohol the thought of that bikini body is the last thing on your mind. Come the New Year however and you’re starting to regret that tenth mince pie. If the idea of a January detox brings you out in a cold sweat lessen the load and consider a pre-Christmas detox plan.
Detox before Christmas by eating healthily
If your diary is full at Christmas and the festive period has you dashing from party to party then it’s important that you keep your energy levels up. Red meat such as steaks are great at adding iron to your diet in addition to boosting your Vitamin B levels.
Make sure you are packing greens such as broccoli and cabbage into your diet, and protein enriched foods such as eggs, omega 3 rich salmon and bananas. Green tea is full of antioxidants and is effective at helping to boost your immune system – something you’ll definitely be needing with the amount of alcohol you’ll be necking.
Drink plenty of water to detox before Christmas
You’ve probably heard this hundreds of times but nothing is better for your body then drinking plenty of water. Your body is made up of around 55% water and it’s so easy to go without the water you need leaving your body dehydrated. Hydration will keep your skin looking healthy and glowing.
If you do struggle to keep track of what you’ve drunk it may be worthwhile picking up the bottles with the measurements on the sides. Why not try VitaZam 1 litre water bottle– it has motivational markings to help you keep going throughout the day.
Don’t forget your vitamins
Chances are you’ll probably be lacking on your fruit and vegetable intake when you’ve got an endless supply of party food, yule logs and mince pies at your fingertips. You can still ensure you get your daily recommended allowance of vitamins by taking a daily supplement such as Centrum Advance Multivitamins.
I hope my Pre-Christmas detox plan helps you stay fit and healthy. Make sure you have fun and enjoy the party season!
