YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation review

When it was first launched YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation was acclaimed as one of the best beauty buys of 2012.

So I put it to the test.

The foundation is not heavy, but more of a mid coverage foundation that is designed purely to highlight the skin and make it appear more illuminated.

Within YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat unique formula is a heavy moisturiser base which gives your skin the dewy glow that Hollywood stars are renown for.

As a designer product, YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat isn’t the cheapest foundation and I picked it up for £30 at Selfridges. It comes in a traditional gold box and inside is a little information booklet telling you all about the foundation. The bottle is made from glass so is pretty heavy and there is a push button to expel the foundation.

As with most foundations, a little goes a long way and one or two blobs were enough to cover my entire face. The colour match on my foundation was perfect so there was no orange mismatch between the product and my skin.

The foundation is quite creamy and sinks quickly into my skin. It is not good for covering up spots or blemishes as it only provides medium coverage, so you will definitely have to use a concealer with this. The overall look is very natural and quite light, if you need more coverage you may want to consider MAC foundations.

By the evening I was impressed to see most of the foundation is still visible and its staying power had only faded slightly.

I love the glow the foundation gave me so I give it a 5/5
