Want the high intensity pigment of Nars long lasting matte lipstick without the cost? Revolution’s new matte lip pigments are your new best friend
If you’re looking for Nars long lasting matte lipstick dupes, you’ll love the new Revolution Pro Supreme matte lip pigment collection that has just been released. Coincidentally designed to look like Nars Powermatte lip pigment they pack rich colour in a comfortable formula. There are 30 shades to pick from and Revolution claim they don’t budge or smudge. They offer quality without the price tag and are a budget buy you won’t want to miss out on. The lip pigments have a doe foot applicator to make applying easy. They have a very buttery fluid formula and the colour glides on with ease.
Pro Supreme matte lip pigment in Veil is a nude pink shade. The colour is easy to apply but I did find it appeared a little split at the top of my bottom lip. As the product appeared a little clumped in some areas I did have to blend the formula to get full coverage. I’m not typically a fan of nude shades but the finish is quite pretty and I like the subtle pink overtone. There was a slight dry feeling but it was not too bad.
Precaution has the most seamless application and I was able to get full coverage in one swipe. The formula doesn’t apply clumped like Veil and I didn’t need to blend to cover all of my lips. It did feel a little drying initially but the feeling did subside after a while. The full coverage lasted to about 12pm and it started to get patchy after eating and drinking. By late evening I could still see small parts of the lipstick although pretty much all of it had faded away.
Spiritual has a highly pigmented formula that is really easy to apply. I was able to cover most of my lips in one application, although it did apply quite thinly in some areas which I had to go over again. It doesn’t feel drying and is really comfortable to wear. Spiritual is a really bold red that you could wear when you want to stand out; at a night out with the girls or your boyfriend. The full coverage of the lipstick lasts around 4 hours or so and after this time patches of red fade away. By mid afternoon there was still a outline of red but it would definitely need reapplying throughout the day. Unlike some matte lipsticks it doesn’t leave random dry patches of colour that look out of place even if you reapply the lipstick.
I really like Revolution Pro Supreme matte lip pigment collection. The lip pigments are really pigmented and for the most part apply like a dream. Veil is a little trickier to work with and unlike Precaution and Spiritual I had to put a lot more effort into getting full coverage and avoiding those dreaded matte lipstick dry patches. The lip pigments last for an average of four hours after eating and drinking but could possibly last longer if you avoid this. When I tried Nars Powermatte lip pigment I was annoyed at how quick it was to smudge all around my mouth, especially considering how pricey they are. Revolution Pro Supreme matte lip pigments did not smudge at all despite eating and drinking which I was really impressed with. What I liked the most about the lip pigments is that even when most of the colour has faded it didn’t leave dry patches of colour that are really hard to remove. I love these Nars long lasting matte lipstick dupes and they’ve already become a regular feature in my daily looks.

I give the collection 4/5
- Highly pigmented lip pigments
- The formula of spiritual and Precaution are quite palatable and gives full coverage in one swipe
- Doesn’t leave dry patches of colours on my lips like some matte lipsticks
- Doesn’t smudge
- Available at a budget friendly £4.00
- Some of the lipsticks feel a little drying
- The formula of Veil is a little more difficult to work with and I had to blend it a bit to avoid uneven patches of colour
