Save time in the morning with Makeup Revolution Brow Tint
Brow pencils are great and are perfect for making your brows on fleek when you want to look good. Whilst I love them and think they’re great for adding shape to my brows they can take a little while to apply. When you don’t have that extra five minutes to spare to apply your pencil what’s a girl to do? Brow tint is a great alternative to brow pencils and adds shape and colour for often as long as three days. Previously I’ve tried Maybelline brow tint which I was pretty impressed with, but having heard on the grapevine about how good Revolution Brow Tint is I was super excited to give it a try.
The brow tint comes in three shades dark brown, light brown and taupe. All the boxes look exactly the same so it was pretty much guess work to establish which shade would suit me the most. I went for taupe as I thought that would be the lightest shade. The concept of the brow tint is pretty simple, you apply the tint to your brow and leave it on for up to 2 hours for a semi permanent tint that’s supposed to last 3 days. The brush has a thick black ink like tint that I applied to the shape of my brows. I left it on for 2 hours to get the maximum effect. It feels comfortable to wear and didn’t cause any irritation. After 2 hours I peeled the tint off. It doesn’t come off in one strike and I had to keep going back to completely get rid of the product. Some of it also gets onto the skin under my brow which is a pain to get off.
After three days I still felt my brows had some tint to them and the shape was mostly still there. The tint doesn’t really work on areas where you lack hair and you’re trying to create a faux brow. I tried to extend my left brow as it’s shorter than it should be and the tint just looked a bit stupid as there’s only skin there. In this respect brow pencils work a lot better as they don’t look as fake.
Revloution brow tint works well at adding colour and shape for a quick fix when you don’t have time to use your brow pencil. As I mentioned earlier it doesn’t work for create a false brow effect where you lack any hairs so for some this may not be a option. I give it 3/5.
