Primark’s latest collection K-Pop comes imported from Korea and features some of their latest beauty innovations. Products include hand creams, highlighters, eyeshadows and blushers. The packaging is really cute and instantly makes you think of Japanese beauty.
After spotting the K-Pop Bubble Blush I really wanted to give it a try. I’ve only really seen the sponge blushers from brands like Lancôme so I was excited to try a cheaper version. The packaging is really cute and girly and contains a blender applicator to apply it with. The colour is a bubblegum pink so it’s pretty vibrant and I was hoping the colour would die down a little bit when applied to my skin.
The applicator seems to soak up the product and applies way too much to my skin. As the applicator is so wet initially I couldn’t really use it to blend the blush into my skin. Instead I used my fingers to blend the blush in over the apples of my cheeks. I did have to remove a little bit of product as it spread onto my face as well as my cheeks. Once it had been blended the finish was actually quite pretty, a really natural subtle pink flush. I didn’t apply that much blush to the applicator in the first place but I think if you just add a small amount it can be used to apply. Otherwise it may be worthwhile applying with a small sponge blender.
The blusher stays put all day and still looks natural by late evening. It’s not heavy on the skin and doesn’t sink into foundation like some powder blushers can. K-Pop Bubble blush is a nice cream blusher to use the only downside is that way too much product ends up being applied initially. I give it 4/5
What do you think of the K-Pop range? Are there any products you love or some you’re not such a fan of? Let me know in the comments below!
- Gives a really natural flush to the skin
- Lasts all day
- Doesn’t end up looking cakey or sitting in the foundation
- The applicator seems to soak up product and far too much product is applied so a quite bit of blending is required
