Part of Maybelline’s new total temptation collection is the Maybelline Total Temptation mascara. The mascara has a whipped formula that is enriched with coconut to leave lashes feeling soft and conditioned. Other items in the collection include the Total Temptation eyeshadow and highlighter palette and the Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer pencil.
The mascara has a really thick brush which is great for increasing how much product is applied with each stroke. On my left eye my lashes were instantly lengthened and lifted and I love the defined lash look it gave me. On my right eye however it didn’t seem to work so well. My lashes ended up clumped and tangled and I had to separate them to get a reasonable look. My lashes felt really light and soft and there was no crispiness.
By the evening my lashes still looked full and lifted on my left eye. On my right eye my lashes didn’t have the same lift, I find this tends to happen with a lot of mascaras. I also noticed the mascara left small black marks around my eye as the mascara flaked off slightly at the edges.
Overall a good mascara albeit it is a little disappointing that it clumps some of my lashes. It does last all day but as mentioned above tends to drop small marks around my eye which I don’t get with other mascaras. I give it 3/5
