Korean beauty is known for its innovation and originality and is often the brainchild behind successful products in the UK. I was recently asked to try two popular beauty products from the Korean beauty range Klairs.
I have pretty awful dark circles which you’d know if you’re a regular reader of Glitz and Glamour Makeup. Klairs creamy and natural fit concealer claims to conceal spots and pores. Whilst I don’t have any real need for covering spots and pores I used it to cover my dark circles. Initially I tried applying the concealer to my hand and applying from there to my face, however it was quite dry so you need more than a small amount of product. Initially I applied it just to my bare skin.
I used shade natural which was a pretty good colour match although it concealed more of the dark circles under my left eye then the right. The concealer was easy to blend and there was no caking. I also applied the concealer on top of Klairs Mochi BB cream to completely conceal my dark circles and other redness. The concealer does appear to be a much better colour match when applied on top of the BB cream. By the evening some of the concealer remained under my left eye but on the right it had pretty much faded away completely.
When I first opened Klairs Mochi BB Cushion Pact I was surprised to see the BB cream appeared to be clear. After working out I need to press on the cushion I was pleased to see the product appear. The product comes with a cushion applicator, a mirror and a protective shield to cover it when it’s not in use. I read some really good reviews on the website so I was excited to give this a go. I didn’t apply any primer and just used a bit of powder over the top. I found using the cushion was a little awkward as it kept slipping off my hand but it was effective at applying the BB cream. It feels super light and left my skin with a dewy luminous finish. It has light to medium coverage and I did still need concealer to completely conceal some blemishes I had. The BB cream lasts most of the day without fading.
I really like how natural and light feeling the BB cream is and how it stays put without using extra primer. The concealer was okay but it didn’t completely conceal both of my dark circles which is a little disappointing.
I give Klairs BB cream 4/5 and the concealer 2/5
