The Lowdown
The Gigi exclusive lipstick has been designed with a creamy no smudge formula that reduces the chances of bleeding. As I find a lot of lipsticks often end up with slightly uneven edges I was keen to see if this worked.
For my review I’m testing Lani, a vivid red lipstick and lip liner. The lipstick and lip liner are slightly different tones of red but this is only noticeable if you look closely.
First I lined my lips with liner and then filled in my lips so my lipstick doesn’t slip off. The liner is quite creamy so it was easy to get a full vivid line around my lips. When I coloured in my lips with the liner it did feel a little drying however. The lipstick itself has a really creamy moisturising formula that soon eradicates the dryness of the liner. It has a really strong matte finish. My lips are really thin, especially my top lip, so I was delighted with how full my lips looked when wearing the lipstick.
I was really impressed with the longevity of the lipstick. Surprisingly it seemed to give me full coverage for around 4-5 hours. After eating and drinking the lipstick faded a lot quicker and left a patchy finish. After the lipstick started to shift it did seem to smudge slightly. This somewhat goes against one of the major selling points of the lip kit.
