Google Analytics

I only used to access Google Analytics on my PC but I recently downloaded the app and got a little obsessed. You get up to date daily access to your statistics and have the ability to change the segments you’re viewing to daily, weekly, monthly or custom dates. The app breaks down your views by acquisition allowing you to check direct traffic, organic search, referral, direct and social. You’ll also find a insight into your audience viewing behaviour under behaviour, see what posts are popular and what topics you can recreate in the future. You can set goals for your blog on the app and use it to monitor ecommerce. A handy little tool that will help you keep tracks on your blog even when you’re not at home.

Buffer

If you want to promote your blog but you really don’t have time to schedule posts daily Buffer is a fabulous app to have. You can sign up for a free account which will give you 10 free scheduling options or you can sign up for a paid account. Under the Awesome plan (£10 a month) you can attach up to 10 social accounts and schedule 100 posts a week. You can schedule your posts all at once when you have time and reap the benefits as the traffic flows in whilst you’re busy doing other things.

Crowdfire

If you’re one who likes to monitor your social media followers – especially Twitter – Crowdfire is the app for you. The app allows you to see everyone who’s unfollowed you recently in addition to new followers to your account. You’ll find people you’re following who don’t follow you, and people who have followed you but you haven’t followed them. You can also schedule posts and have a sneaky check on who your competitors follow (simply put their username in a search box). It’s also a fabulous way of removing inactive accounts which you can narrow down to 1, 3 or 6 months.
Available for free on the App or Play store but I think you have to pay around £3 (one off fee) for the features.

Disqus

If you run a blog you’ve probably installed Disqus, a handy little widget that lets people comment in a custom comments box. The Disqus app is a great tool that helps you respond to people who’ve replied to comments you’ve posted on blogs. You can also follow people and their activity will appear in your feed.
